We train you to train your dog
Our focus is on coaching the handler. Progress depends on clear communication, fair criteria and practice you can repeat confidently between sessions — not on us taking the lead and showing what the dog can do in isolation.
That partnership-led approach works for pet gundogs and working dogs alike. We do not use rigid labels; we adapt the training to the dog and handler in front of us.
Who this is for
- Pet and working gundogs, from puppies through to more experienced dogs.
- Labradors, spaniels and other retrieving breeds at different stages.
- Handlers who want better control on walks as well as those preparing for field work.
- Complete beginners and experienced handlers who want focused help with one issue.
What we can work on
- Recall and engagement
- Retrieving and delivery to hand
- Steadiness around distraction
- Whistle work and stop cues
- Hunting patterns and quartering
- Heelwork and everyday control
- Puppy foundations and confidence
- Handler timing, criteria and reward placement
How it works
What a session involves
We start by understanding your dog, your goals and what is happening at home.
Sessions are practical and focused on coaching you — not simply working the dog while you watch.
You leave with clear criteria and a realistic plan for what to practise between sessions.
Location and format depend on the training booked, your dog's stage and the ground needed.
