We train in a number of locations in Kent, mostly in South East Kent including Canterbury, Dover, Folkestone, Hythe and Ashford.

The location of your session will depend on the availability of our grounds, as well as the type of session and ability level of your dog.

Definitely not. Although we can and do train dogs and owners looking to take their dogs to work in the field, we also train many pet dogs. Gundog training is a fantastic way of training obedience, steadiness and building a solid relationship and bond with your dog.

Ethical gundog training for us is all about teaching the dogs the right way through positive engagement, but setting clear boundaries in a safe and ethical way.

We don't tolerate harsh handling and absolutely do not believe that causing dogs pain has any place in modern training methods.

We do for our dogs but its absolutely not mandatory. The biggest issue with slip leads is owners and trainers not knowing or showing how to use them properly.

When used properly with a trained dog, they are perhaps the most comfortable way for a dog to walk on a lead.

There are some basic bits you'll need to train with us. We can go through these in our first session and we can order anything for you from our suppliers.

As guide, we'd suggest that as a minimum you'd need:

• Lead (slip or other)

• Training dummies

• Acme whistle (210.5 pitch)

• Training treats if required

This is a great question and the answer is almost always no. Of course we may find some limitations as to how much we can teach the dog, but generally speaking there's always something we can do to develop your dog, whatever age they are.

This is a hotly debated topic and the answer is 'it depends'. When you're starting out, one to one training is a great way to avoid distractions and really get the focus you need on your dog.

Group classes can be a fantastic way to develop socialisation and start to challenge your dog too.
