Kent offers varied countryside for gundog training — from woodland and farmland to river valleys and coastal margins. Whether you are working toward the field or simply want a steadier, happier dog on country walks, practical training in real terrain matters.
The Gundog Coach supports handlers across East Kent through one-to-one sessions and online consultations. Sessions are tailored to you and your dog rather than following a fixed class programme.
Who we train
We work with pet and working gundogs at every stage — Labradors, spaniels and other retrieving breeds included. Many handlers simply want a more engaged companion on walks; others are preparing for picking up or rough shooting.
We coach the handler as much as the dog. Progress between sessions depends on clear criteria, fair timing and practice you can repeat confidently at home.
Training across East Kent
Our main in-person training is based around Canterbury and Dover, with handlers also travelling from Folkestone, Ashford, Deal and surrounding villages.
